For the first time in many years freestyle jumping has returned to the Pro Tour. The Malibu Open is returning to Wisconsin and this year Freestyle Jumping will be part of the event along with Mens distance jumping and Mens and Womens Slalom.

The Malibu Open will be in Veterans Park on the Milwaukee Lake front. (not on Lake Michigan but within a stones throw) This link is the Google Map view of the Veterans Park lake http://bit.ly/abc4FU

This is a cash prize event with payouts for the top 3.
There are 12 spots so contact me right away if you are interested in skiing!
Prelims will be on Friday August 6th at 5:00 PM
Semifinals will be in the early afternoon on Saturday August 7th
Finals will be under the lights on Saturday night!!

How is this scored? What rules are used? NSSA Rules Book and Scoring? Old Pro Freestyle Jump Tour Scoring and rules? Any more info? Head-2-Head? Heats? Top scores advance? Any other info?

It will be a hybrid of the nssa scoring and the old pro tour scoring. There will be a bonus for distance. We will be running two skiers at a time like NSSA did at show ski nationals last year. Top scores will advance each round with 4 skiers at the end of the night under the lights.

Hey guys! One week left for registration, so if you are a jumper or know one who might be interested please get them in touch with us. We want as big of a showing as possible. Who won, lets hear some details about the different jumps performed..

Jon Debelak, Bagerland- 1st
Seth Frase, Carolina- 2nd
Terry Roslawski, Muskego Waterbugs- 3rd
Eric Berglund, Badwater Ski-ters- 4th

Skiers had 3 jumps. In the Finals Debelak landed 2 ski gainer, 1 ski gainer, 2 ski mobe. Frase landed 2 ski gainer and 1 ski gainer. Roslawski landed one ski front. Berglund landed a one ski gainer. That's all I know about finals. Know also that Debelak landed the mobe in semis too!

Thank You to all that were involved. I wished I had skied better but am glad that I met the people that i met. Can't wait to see you at states next year. I had an awesome time.

Brad is correct about the results. We at Dolphin Wetsuits had a blast running this event and hope that the pro tour continues to include freestyle jumping at pro tour events.
